Events

The public restrooms in the area are located in Siperia:

1. In Siperia, on the corridor leading to Media 54, there is a restroom that meets accessibility requirements and has facilities for child care. The restroom door can be opened with a mobile phone.
2. There is a restroom at the bottom of the stairs that lead from Siperia to Mediatunneli. The restroom door can be opened with a mobile phone.

Please be advised that restroom facilities are subject to a fee, and payments can be made via mobile phone.

The entrance to Vooninki is accessible. There are no thresholds or stairs.

Terde is on two levels. Entrance to the lower lever is via a staircase. The entrance to the upper level is accessible.

Assistance is needed with the front doors of both spaces. In the lobby of Terde and Vooninki, there is a wheelchair available for borrowing. Please return it after use.

Events held at the Väinö Linna square are accessible.

The service desk at the Finnish Labour Museum Werstas also serves as the area’s information desk.

You can contact Minna Männistö at minnailoilo@gmail.com about items left in the event areas and the cloakroom at the lobby. Lost-and-found items are stored for a month.

If you have lost something in the other public areas at Finlayson, you can contact the information desk at the Finnish Labour Museum Werstas.

In other cases, the operators of specific premises are responsible for the items left at their premises.

The Finlayson Area has its own parking facilities for over 600 cars, P-Plevna (entry from Polttimonkatu 5). P-Plevna parking garage is subject to a fee.

In addition, there are parking places subject to a fee at Portinvartijanparkki and Polttimonparkki. The P-Frenckell (Frenckellinaukio 3) and P-Näsinkulma (Satakunnankatu 25) car parks are also nearby. For more information on the parking facilities, visit the Finnpark website.

Parking places for short-term disability parking are on Itäinenkatu in front of the Mehiläinen medical centre, on Väinö Linna square in front of Werstas and on Finlaysoninkuja. You can find more information about the locations in the area’s guide map.

The events in the area in places such as Terde, Vooninki and Väinö Linna square are organised, coordinated and maintained by Finlayson Area. Events organised by our partners and tenants are also held at the event locations.

A lease agreement is made for the leased premises. The agreement also details the lessee’s responsibilities.

Terde and Vooninki cannot be leased for private events.

Lease payment for the property is always negotiated case by case.

Information for event organisers

There is a mailbox for outgoing mail behind Plevna on Finlaysoninkatu. Posti’s parcel locker is located in the back corridor at the Lidl store (Finlaysoninkatu 7).
